I've been trying out this thing this past month where I severely limit my impulse shopping. Which in theory sounds doable, but in reality is making me really, really cranky.

So in the face of this month-long, self-imposed shopping restriction, I've decided to pursue the lesser of two evils: online window shopping. And right now, I'm completely addicted to Planet Claire Vintage (PCV).

Owned and run by San Diego-based Cammila, this Etsy store offers up a spread of vintage goodies dating as far back as the 1920s.

of all things antique, vintage,
rockabilly, and retro

I love Cammila's sense of style, which strikes the perfect balance between retro (thrifted outfits) and modern (killer Steve Madden heels). And what makes PCV so wonderfully addictive is that everything it sells manages to retain its old-time charm, without looking horrendously dated.

PCV's clothes and accessories are exuberant, quirky, and offbeat – three key traits you'd need to truly appreciate the store's offerings.

Shopping restriction aside, there are tons of things from PCV that I'd buy in a heartbeat...but there's just the small matter of the exchange rate. Life can be so cruel sometimes.
