I'm a huge fan of Showtime's The Tudors. The lavish lifestyles; the fabulous real estate; the drama; the hot guys...what's not to love?

But most of all, I adore the costumes!

Lush silks, velvets and brocades abound, and in the most delightful colours imaginable. Oh, what I would do to be an extra on the show!

I credit The Tudors as being the inspiration behind my flirtation with intricate bejewelled necklaces. Right after I started watching Season 1, I couldn't resist dashing out to the nearest Mc-fashion outlet and buying an armful - literally - of gorgeous, pearl-studded chandelier necklaces. And how I loved them...until they went all discoloured on me. But that, my dears, is another story.

There's no doubt in my mind that as far as costumes are concerned, Natalie Dormer (who starred as Anne Boleyn) got the sweetest deal. Pity they wrote her out of the show.

Ms Dormer was born to play Anne Boleyn! Okay, so she was a conniving, manipulative little man-eater who got hers in the end. But her clothes! Oh, her clothes! I loved her the moment I saw what a kick-ass wardrobe she had!
