Nude pumps

*
It's recently dawned on me that despite possessing a burgeoning shoe collection, I haven't got a single pair of work-appropriate nude pumps. Unacceptable, considering these are the quintessential goes-with-everything shoes. And Lord knows that with the riot of colours currently residing in my closet, having to think hard about what shoes go with which dress is certainly a headache I could do without!

But like finding the perfect man, looking for the perfect nude heels is a lot harder than I thought. The ones I've seen in shops so far are perfectly decent, but anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that as far as shoes are concerned, I abhor anything that looks conventional. After all, 'safe' is simply another way of saying 'unmemorable'.

How darling are these heels?

These would look killer on darker skin tones

What I appreciate about nude pumps is that they let your outfit take center stage. With some of the shoes I own, I often feel compelled to choose a simple outfit so as not to detract from what I'm wearing on my feet. (My shoes are pretty bossy that way.)

No such problems with nude pumps though!

These two from Yunique Paradise are worth mentioning. I've always had a thing for peep toes, and though the patent pumps are a tad too 'safe' for me, I know for a fact I'd be able to wear these with most of my wardrobe. I absolutely adore the satin pumps, though I have my doubts about the practicality of satin shoes in general, given the notorious unpredictability of Malaysian weather!
